Dear Family,
this week has been a great week! todays been really lax and easy. we played volleyball for a while and I took a nap. its so weird not being occupied all the time. to be honest i dont know if i like p days haha

so my 2 teachers names are hermano santiago and hermano tapia. they´re both like 5´3´´ and the happiest guys i've ever met.  hermano tapia tells us he likes to listen to desiigner when hes not teaching. every once in awhile he'll say ¨oso negra y blanco, prrrrah prrrrah¨ which is the panda song in spanish hahaha and he´s always dabbing. he´s hilarious.  hermano santiago is the best. everytime we see him he gives us the biggest hug and picks us up. there is so much love in this guys heart.  next school year he´s going to the states to attend BYU idaho. he´s so excited about it. he says he wants to buy a food truck and sell tacos from it. apparently he´s an amazing cook.   and a really good teacher too.

we had a devotional on sunday by the mtc 2nd counselor in the presidency, presidante Lyons. it was a devotional on the family proclaimation, and he told us elders that if we werent married within a year of being home after the mish then we have a couple of screws loose in the head. dont know how i feel about that haha

so this week my companion elder lovelace told me that before he went on a mission, he tried out for the voice and was the last one cut before the actual primeire. out of like 2 million people, he was number 81. kids got an amazing voice. its great to be able to talk to someone who loves music as much as i do.  we always sing Lion sleeps tonight becasue you know, what else can you sing at a missionary training center?

an elder in my district got his wisdom teeth out this mormning. apparently the doctors in the states told him he didnt need them out, but then he got here and was having tooth aches.  poor kid. elder olsen form north carolina. the operation took about 5 hours haha

Dad! this week has been for sure a great one!! the language is improving, im getting better with teaching and showing love, i just feel so empowered in a place like this. its just so comforting. 

i want to share with you a video we watched in our last devotional. its called the current bush, taken form a talk by elder kristofferson. you´ve probably seen it alreday, but i challenge you to watch it again, preferably as a family. i know youre working during the night and the schedules are really hard to make out, but you need to make sure that our family is praying every night and having FHE weekly. we dont understand all the blessings we recieve when we follow the commandments of the lord. our family will be blessed beyond belief

i love that story from the temple. its very intruiging. ive been twice now to the mexico city temple, its glorious. truly a house of the lord.

you know, me and my companion were going through a couple of songs we both kneew, and ended up singing Aly & AJ and got the whole district in on it. such a fun moment, and it just made me think of you. haha remember when we would listen to josh groban when we were kids and just yell the lyrics ¨you, are. LOOOVVVVEDDDD¨  i love that memory. 

thanks for writing. im sure you´ll get right back into the habit. love you dad. thanks for all the prayers. i know that they really do help.

its so great to hear from you. i guess i got your sentimentality. my birthday is going to be my last p day in the ccm. i´d love if you guys just sent me a photo album. thats all i want.  

last sunday we had sister bonnie oscarson visit and give a devotional. it was sooo powerful. and afterwards one of my buddies in the district fan girled over her and got her autograph. Ha! the kids in my district are such goons, everyday is just a new adventure.  the language is coming along pretty good, actually. we teach fake investigators here in spanish, and yesterday i didnt need to bring any notes with me! its still really broken spanish but at least i can convey my feelings haha and we watched a devo from provo with elder bednar the week before last. he talked about how to get the most out of conference. it was amazing, im definitely gonna follow through with his advise this april.

you really dont have to build a shrine for me in my room haha if crew wants it he´s more than welcome to it. how is the kid? i got his email. it was pretty touching. i may or may have not teared up reading it.

everyday is great. i have the best teachers. the best district, and awesome companion. honestly i feeel like the field is gonna be a little of a let down compared to this. and the food is hosnestly amazing. its sooo good. normally haha

hi mom. it´s finally p day. i don´t really know what to tell you. i´ll write this personal email to you, and then a generic one that you could send to brittnee so she could forward it to all my buddy´s? these mexican keyboards are a pain to write on haha. the first few days felt like an eternity. they keep you so busy, i have classes every minute of every day.  it was hard to focus on the firs few days too. i missed everyone so much. especially Crew. tell him i miss him. tell him what´s up from me. ask him how school´s going for me, and tell him i love him. i was really bummed for a couple days until i realized that because God gave me such an awesome family that i love, i owe him. that´s why im here. to pay him back for all the good he´s done for me.  i´ve already learned so much. we finished teaching our first ´´investigator´´ yesterday. taught him everything in spanish.  very broken spanish haha. my companions name is Elder Lovelace. he´s from Orem, Utah, and we´re already super tight. he´s the coolest. anyway, i have some requests for your emails next week. can you send me the pictures in a folder on the desktop called ´´sam´s for chase´´ or something like that?  i really regret not bringing any pictures... and can you have dad or brittnee print out the workout for P90-X´s ab ripper? if i dont do something soon im gonna gain alot of weight...

anyway, i´ll send another email with all the info so you can get it to my friends to. just wanted to write you a personal one first. i miss you and dad so much. im so greatful for the example you set for me throughout my life. you really were the best parents a kid could ask for. love you

hi dad. glad to hear you´re body´s returning to its former glory haha.

the CCM has been great to me. this morning we went to the Mexico City Temple to do endowments. it was gorgeous. the temple is enourmous, it´s like a castle.  i actually love it here. my disctrict is the best. District 10C. biggest bunch of goons i´ve ever met haha apart from the kiddos back home of course. whenever we´re not learning or teaching we´re sharing funny stories from high school. these kids are a real hoot, let me tell you.  my companions name is elder Lovelace, he´s from orem, utah. he´s white, 5´9´´, a basketball player, adn we´re already super tight. if i had known him in high school we would have definitely gotten in some trouble together. anyway, i´ll send a generic email to mom to send to everyone, i just wanted to write especially to you first. expect a call from a brother Love from salt Lake about my visa. he emailed me about 3 days ago. 

i havent had the chance to hear any of the talk from gc. i dont think i can really get my hands on any around here... it´d be great if you could send me one. thanks.
